We all want to be happy! But what gets in the way? We humans naturally want to move away from painful experiences and towards pleasurable ones. But life naturally throws plenty of painful moments (both physical and emotional) at us on a daily basis. "My boss is so rude to me." "My spouse is behaving the way I want." "My aging mother has a heart condition." Through meditation we will practice becoming more aware of our reactions to these kinds of situations and greeting each of them with kindness and a open heart. The techniques of both sitting and walking meditation will be discussed. We will also discuss what we find through meditation in a kind and safe environment. What members are saying
“ This form of meditation doesn't teach how to escape your mind, but how to embrace whatever comes with compassion, which is very liberating. These skills can be used every day in normal life. ”
“ It's important to spend some time on what is really important... not the job, the bills, the problems and trouble that will always bet there, in one form or another, waiting for us. ...
