Why are we here? Have we lived before? Where will we go after this life? Is our fate predestined?

What is the law of karma? How does it determine our fate? We can’t change our past, but we can shape our future, starting from right now.

Meditation isn’t just relaxation and stress relief. Mystics throughout the ages have turned to meditation to seek insights into the profound questions of life: who are we really, and what is the true purpose of our life? Mystics didn’t all live ages ago. Through the power of meditation, even in today’s upside-down world, you can become a modern mystics. This program will include Jyoti meditation instructions (meditation on the inner Light) and time for meditation.

Meditation is stress relief and relaxation. It’s enhanced creativity and a greater sense of wellbeing. But it’s much more than that. It’s the practice of turning your attention inward, of rising above the chatter of the mind and getting in touch with who you really are, your true self. We will practice Jyoti meditation, a technique that focuses on the inner Light. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussions. This is a very informal program and it's free.

Not everyone can travel into outer space, but traveling into inner space has always been a core practice of mysticism. When the chatter of the mind is stilled, in the deep silence of meditation, the secrets of the universe reveal themselves. This program will include Jyoti meditation instructions (meditation on the inner Light) and time for meditation.

The key ingredient to any relationship is love. When we lose that insight, it leaves us feeling misunderstood and disconnected. In this interactive program, you will discover what keeps us from truly loving one another. Meditation reconnects you with the love already inside you. Learn how the power of that love can heal all the relationships in your life.

Stress, anger and conflict are part of life in today's world, but you don't have to live with them 24/7. In this interactive program, our facilitator, Jim Rose, will engage you through a series of exercises designed to show how meditation is a powerful tool for dealing with stress, anger and conflict. Through several meditation periods, you will have a chance to see how meditation also is the key to a rich inner life.

This program repeats on Saturday, September 19, 10am to 11:30am at the Scandinvian Living Center, 206 Waltham St., West Newton 02465.
