The Buddhist Meditation and Discussion Group

Join us for meditations and group discussions on a variety of Buddhist teachings.

We have a friendly and community oriented environment that is open to beginners as well as advanced practioners. Our meetings are a very organized and authentic approach to learn various meditation and wisdom teachings from experienced practioners.

Our facilitator led discussions create an environment so one can develop insight into the essence of various teachings. We also provide formal meditation training and assist people in developing a practice of their own.

We embrace all forms of Buddhism with a Tibetan Gelugpa emphasis. Our meetup group is the Chicago chapter of Jewel Heart, a Tibetan Buddhist organization based in Ann Arbor, Michigan which was founded by Gelek Rimpoche in 1989. Jewel Heart's mission is to transmit the essence of Tibetan Buddhism in authentic and accessible ways to anyone interested in spiritual development by providing guidance and practical methods.

There is no charge or obligation when you attend your first meetup. If you regularly participate, a $10 recommended donation applies to offset costs. We are a non-profit, charitable organization.
