Hello my meditating friends!

First, let me extend an extra dose of unconditional love and light to our LGBT members who will be celebrating Pride this weekend. I encourage everyone to join in their celebrations. :)

However, for those of you who don't want to miss our regular Sunday Morning Meditation, I want you to know that we will still meet at the same place and same time. From 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM we will gather in the shadow of the majestic Moreton Bay Fig tree, between the north entrance to the Natural History Museum and the Spanish Village Art Center. Look for us on the grass, by the neighboring Palm tree. We are next to the parking lot just behind the museum, closer to Park Blvd.

Being a firm believer that all paths lead home, it is my aim to bring the wisdom of many belief systems to our group. So this Sunday we will have a special treat. Dave will be sharing some of his Siddha Yoga wisdom with all of us. I am looking forward to what he has to teach us.

After meditating with Dave, to give a change of pace, we will perform the Kabbalistic Cross, which comes from Western tradition. After that, we will tone for balance. Every exercise is guaranteed to be both enjoyable and beneficial. We may also have a brief discussion afterward for Q & A or anything else you may want to explore.

I'm sure your powers of concentration are impeccable; but feel free to bring ear plugs if you so desire, to help intensify your experience. I don't use them, but some in the group have sworn by them.

If you use a wheel chair and can navigate across the lawn to join us, you are more than welcome to attend. :)

Also, if anyone else is uncomfortable sitting directly on the grass, please feel free to bring a yoga mat, a blanket, or your own seating. If need be, bring a pillow to help keep your spine straight, if your chair makes you slump. Having your chakras lined up and your energy channels clear and flowing, makes for a better meditative experience. :)

For the last few meditations we let people arrive a few minutes late. Seeing that I am on a little bit of a tight schedule and I want to give people a full hour's worth of meditation, I am letting you know that we will be starting promptly at 10 AM. :) If you must arrive late, I am sorry if you have to miss anything; but just take a seat and join in with whatever we are doing. :)

You should be aware that on the same day that we meet there will be some Pride festivities going on at 6th and Laurel in Balboa Park. To avoid stress in trying to find a parking space, if you normally come via 6th Avenue, I would suggest arriving via Park Blvd. and turning on Village Place for the parking lots there. I think most people come that way anyway, but just in case you were thinking of coming via 6th Avenue...

I look forward to meditating with you. Feel free to bring as many people as you can. :) There is plenty of room.

Namaste,
Karen
