One-Day Silent Meditation Retreat

We are having a One Day Silent Meditation Retreat to Celebrate "The Buddha's Birthday"
The Way of Mindfulness Meditation of Tucson under the sponsorship of Dhammaratanaram Temple will organize a "One-Day Silent Meditation Retreat" on May 26, 2007, from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tucson located at 4831 E. 22nd St., Tucson, AZ 85711 ( just East of Swan ).

The purpose of this retreat is to celebrate and recognize "the Buddha's birthday", the great man and master who brought peacefulness and happiness from the time he was born until the day and night he passed away. This year his actual his birthday will fall on the full moon day of May 31, 2007. On this auspicious occasion we would like to invite you all to join us to celebrate his coming birthday by practicing meditation, generating inner peace and loving-kindness with a silent mediation practice.

The retreat will lead by Arjahn Sarayut Arnanta, a Thai Buddhist monk. The practice will be based on Mindfulness with Breathing Meditation according to Theravada tradition.
Vegetarian Thai food will be served for lunch and green tea will be provided during the day. There is no smoking at any time during the event. The suggested donation is $10.00.
