About The Atlanta Meditation Meetup Group

Meditation is a practice that has been used by countless people throughout the ages with amazing results. It has been found to be beneficial from both a spiritual and health perspective.

Meditation has its origins in ancient spiritual practice, and has a long history of helping individuals advance along the spiritual path in a variety of spiritual traditions. More recently, meditation has been found to be beneficial for a variety of health concerns, and more and more people are using meditation practices to improve their health and relieve stress.

Because of meditation's broad history and appeal, this group has the potential to attract members from diverse cultural and religious/spiritual backgrounds. As such, this group does not promote, discriminate against, or give preference to any particular spiritual tradition or belief, and openly explores the vast resources and meditation techniques available, regardless of their origin.

Some meditation techniques can be more arduous or outrageous than others, and the degree of intensity will vary, so be prepared to dive into the adventure of meditation. A certain amount of fearlessness and adventurousness in exploring the inner realms will go a long way toward opening the various paths of spiritual, emotional, and psychological development. Are you a spiritual explorer? Join us!

Our goal is to promote an environment of openness, tolerance, and mutual respect so that people from all walks of life can reap the tremendous benefits that practicing meditation can offer. Anyone interested in learning about, exploring, and practicing meditation is welcome to join this group.
